Views...
When building your home, you want to be sure to take advantage of whatever beautiful views you may have. Whether views of the water, farm land or simply a blossoming tree, do your best to situate windows that provide you with a picture of the optimal landscape.

The Display Dilemma...
When organizing your kitchen, if you have exposed shelving, you may come up with the dilemma of how you should display whatever it is you choose to place on these shelves. While you want it to appear casual and not totally staged, you also want it to look pretty.
If you are trying to figure out how to display items on your kitchen shelves, maybe these pictures can help...

Exposed...
Do you like exposed brick? I am definitely a fan as long as it is authentic. I have seen exposed brick that was obviously constructed as a design element rather than an original structural part of the space and it does not work. However, if it is original brickwork and the design surrounding it is done right, it can be amazing!

Kids Dream Home...
When people think of modern homes, they automatically assume cold and museum like, a place not suitable or comfortable for a young family. However, imagine a beautiful, eco-friendly modern home that was specifically built with the family in mind?
That is what British architect Alex Michaelis created for his family of five in London. Seriously, for all of those that hate on modern design, you cannot deny this house is pretty fabulous!

Union Jack Round Two...
Back in March I posted about the Union Jack and how it seems to be a new trend in interior design. Apparently this trend has not died down because almost a year later I am still seeing the British flag popping up everywhere... and I am still loving it.

Enter...
An often neglected piece of residential design is the interior door. Typically, homeowners paint their doors whatever white they choose for their moldings and call it a day. I admit that I am one of those typical people.
However, lately, I have been playing with the idea of painting both my moldings and my interior doors an actual color. The color I am thinking is grey (which I often tell my clients isn't really a true color but I don't think I am daring enough to do something as bright and funky as some of the images below). Although I do envy those that are that bold...
