Velvet...

Seriously, how can one not love velvet? The short dense pile of fabric is so smooth and soft, I am surprised we do not see this fabric in more places.

Lately, I am especially digging navy velvet upholstered furniture. I think the fabric looks so warm and inviting, while also giving the piece a rich appearance.
