Look Up...

When designing a room, people often fail to address the ceiling. As long as there is enough light, the ceiling is rarely a cause for concern. However, the ceiling can be an amazing focal point and really help to tie a room together. I actually just painted the ceiling of my office hot pink and it really helps to brighten the room.

I love the blue paint juxtaposed with the black and white tiled floor. It is so unexpected and original.

The wooden planks extending from the wall to the ceiling really help to elongate the room and add a sense of warmth in a more contemporary setting.

While the room is decorated very simply, the painted ceiling helps to give the space a splash of color and excitement.

It is hard to see in this photo but if you look closely you will notice that the wallpaper covers the ceiling and then comes down slightly on the walls just above the crown molding.
